Local Communities

CREA’s strategy for sustainable development includes working closely with rural and indigenous communities that are often at odds with their natural forested surroundings; depending totally on their resources and services but destroying them to make way for minimally productive and unsustainable agriculture. CREA helps these communities by aiding them to achieve food security and develop sustainable livelihoods, while maintaining and protecting their natural resources.

The efficient farmer-to-farmer trainings are particularly encouraging and may prove to be an effective way to rapidly expand knowledge and practice of best agricultural practices in the region.”
