CREA’s work progresses in countless and infinite ways because of its many volunteers. In 2008 alone, we had volunteers from all over the world help us with diverse short and longer term projects that included:

  • Environmental Education activities for schoolkids and adults (Ari Prior Grosch, USA)
  • Registry of farming and forestry activities (Sabine Wischnat, Germany)
  • Starting a health outpost serving the communities of Las Zahinas, Margaritas (Becky Cridford, U.K.)
  • Research and development of a community gardening project on the Cocobolo Reserve (Danielle Gugolz, Switzerland)
  • Development of a waste management education and recycling program for the school children of Las Zahinas (Pieter, Switzerland)
  • Setting up our database management system (Miriam Rack, U.S.)
  • Communications and events (Ann Sasaki, U.S.)

If you are interested in the work we do and would like to help us on a project or longer-term basis, please contact Anita Roy at 415-455-9050 or anita@crea-panama.org.

We are currently looking for volunteers to help us:

In Panama (Spanish speaking):

  • Work at Cocobolo helping with farming activities, outreach with communities and helping out with conservation activities
  • A botanist with knowledge of GIS to help with our carbon inventory for CREA's REDD project
  • Provide administrative and outreach support in the area of reporting and database management
  • A minimum length of stay in Panama is for 3 months

Download our volunteer pack to find out more about the work area and projects currently available.

In the San Francisco area:

  • Find and secure speaking engagements for us to network and raise awareness for our efforts
  • Assist us in special fundraising events
  • Assist in the expansion of our school program in the North, South and East bay, CA

But we ALWAYS have new ideas and would love your ideas and energy too. If you are interested, just give us a call.
