Social Media in the Rainforest

Creating a good narrative for your research and conservation mission can be a daunting task, especially when you have to break through the overwhelming saturation of social media. We’re taking a Social Media class and bringing it into the rainforest. Will break down how to create compelling imagery and video’s, that will help facilitate better social media engagement. Spend a week in the rainforest exploring amongst a group of participants that will be broken into two groups, each team will come up with a narrative to photograph, record, and weave into a conservation or research story. Will show you how to engage this story over social media for the week and how to draw attraction to it. This class is ideal for researchers, groups, or organization working on research, conservation projects, or involved in the science field. You’ll be shown how to break into the science communication field or how to grow your already established network. This class is also great for anyone who has ever fancied an experience with hands-on experience with a tropical researcher or photographer.
